AroundMe

What is a hotspot?

A hotspot is simply a region or an area where nearby people meet — a conference hall, a café, a campus library, a trailhead. Each hotspot has a theme, a time window, and a verified public venue, so everyone there knows why they're there.

Hotspots are created and verified by AroundMe — in partnership with venues, universities, and communities — so every meetup happens in a safe, public place with people who opted in for the same reason.

Exploring hotspots on a map

How does it work?

From signup to your first meetup in 4 simple steps

1

Get matched to a hotspot

Tell us your interests and availability — we place you in a verified hotspot near you whose theme matches what you're into.

2

We build your group

Our matching looks at everyone active in the hotspot and composes a small group that genuinely fits — shared interests, complementary goals.

3

Confirm your spot

You get one proposal: who (first names and why they fit), where, and when. One tap to confirm — no browsing, no cold requests.

4

Meet

Show up and enjoy the activity — icebreakers included. Connections continue only with mutual opt-in afterwards.

People meeting in an informal environment

Verified by us, powered by you

Every AroundMe hotspot is company-verified: a public venue we've checked, a time slot that works, and a theme with real demand from the waitlist. That's what makes meetups safe, reliable, and worth showing up for — and it's why a hotspot near you gets better every single week.
